Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Addis Ababa
Arrival in Ethiopia’s capital and transfer to the hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a guided introduction to Addis Ababa, including museums, historic churches, lively markets, and panoramic viewpoints.
Day 2 – Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar
Drive north through the Ethiopian Highlands, passing farmland, villages, and dramatic scenery. Cross the Blue Nile Gorge before reaching Bahir Dar on the shores of Lake Tana.
Day 3 – Lake Tana & Bahir Dar
Boat excursion on Lake Tana to visit historic island monasteries and churches, surrounded by forest and birdlife. Return to Bahir Dar for a relaxed afternoon and sunset views over the lake.
Day 4 – Bahir Dar to Gondar

Fly via Addis Ababa to eastern Ethiopia, then continue by road to Harar, one of the country’s most distinctive historic towns.
Day 14 – Harar

Day 15 – Harar to Awash National Park
