Meet Mitiku Dessie: Licensed Tour Operator and Local Expert

My name is Mitiku Dessie, the founder of Ethiopia Treks. I am a professionally licensed Tour Operator accredited by the Ethiopian Ministry of Tourism.

I hold a degree in Tour Guiding Service from the University of Gondar, combining professional academic training with over 13 years of field experience.

I was born and raised in the heart of the Simien Mountains in the village of Ambaras (located between Gich and Chennek). This gives me insider knowledge that few others have. Since 2011, I have led hundreds of travelers from across the globe through Ethiopia’s majestic landscapes.
